Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and refinement of the departmental strategy within cardiovascular disease
• Manage and mentor a team of scientists focused on cardio-renal & heart failure research
• Drive the creation and execution of in vitro/in vivo assays to investigate disease biology aiming to establish and advance a robust pipeline of cardio-renal disease and heart failure therapeutics
• Identify and pursue potential external research collaborations and licensing opportunities to leverage novel insights and enhance the internal pipeline
• Recruit, develop, and retain a skilled team dedicated to target identification & validation, furthering the CMD pipeline
Key Requirements:
• Ph.D., MD, or MD/Ph.D. in a cardio-metabolic-renal related discipline and relevant experience
• 10+ years’ research experience in cardio-renal biology, heart failure backed by a strong publication record
• Broad knowledge and first-hand experience in cardiovascular in vitro and in vivo models
• Experience leading projects/initiatives and coordinating & leading teams of scientists
• Adaptability and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
