THE MARCUS SEARCH PROCESS

PHASE ONE: DEFINE
  • Interview client (Human Resources and Hiring Authority)
    for clarification of needs
  • Validate and assist in job description development
  • Search database for immediate candidates and leads
  • Research additional talent pool
  • Develop search plan strategy

PHASE TWO: IMPLEMENT PLAN
  • Source referral agents
  • Identify and recruit potential candidates
  • Qualify candidates through initial telephone interviews
  • Sift out truly motivated candidates from window shoppers
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with potential finalists
  • Evaluate candidates, providing counsel to Human Resources and Hiring Authorities

PHASE THREE: PROCESS MANAGEMENT
  • Coordinate timely interview schedule (ensure candidate cooperation)
  • Prepare candidates by identifying client needs, opportunities, culture and interview teams
  • Counsel client by providing candidate background , requirements (e.g. compensation), and preferences
  • Debrief candidates: respond to concerns; promote opportunity
  • Client follow-up: assess candidate fit, ranking and provide candidate feedback (e.g. interest in position, potential concerns)
PHASE FOUR: FACILITATE CLOSING
  • Conduct reference checks
  • Provide counsel to client (e.g. candidate needs and expectations)
  • Consult with successful candidate to ensure offer acceptance
  • Assist candidate with resignation of current position and assist candidate with relocation services/consultation
  • Follow-up to ensure effective transition
